Verily, the lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters which many people do not know of. Whoever avoids doubtful matters clears his liability regarding his religion and his honor, and whoever falls into doubtful matters will fall into the unlawful [Muslim]

إن الحلال بيِّن وإن الحرام بين، وبينهما أمور مُشْتَبِهَاتٌ لا يعلمهن كثير من الناس، فمن اتقى الشُّبُهات فقد اسْتَبْرَأ لدينه وعرضه، ومن وقع في الشبهات وقع في الحرام». [صحيح.]
